Somewhere Under the Rainbow
A Faith-full Invitation to LGBTQ+ Justice
Monday July 31 | 7pm | Sanctuary
The next in a series of community conversations hosted by Cargill United Methodist Church about matters of faith & daily life.
The Christian faith has often sparked debate between traditional religious observance and new ways of responding to the love of God. Such differences aren’t just theoretical; they affect real people.
How can we be faith-full to people who often have been marginalized by the church?
The presenter, the Rev. Steve Scott, has pastored for 13 years in The United Methodist Church, which has fractured globally over its ministry to and with LGBTQ+ persons. He previously served as convener of the Wisconsin Clergy Covenant Team, whose purpose was to address discrimination over matters of sexual identity and orientation.
