Aging Gracefully in Community
Purposeful Living in All Ages
Saturday January 27 | 9 – 11am | Fellowship Hall
God calls us to love and serve our neighbors through our individual talents and purposes. It is through this calling, that we understand our purpose according to God’s plans. Throughout the different stages of life, our vocations change due to work, family, as a citizen and within the church.
Join us as we explore our spiritual gifts, what they mean in relation to community and how they change as we age.
When you sign up, you will have an opportunity to take a spiritual gifts survey that you should bring with you to the class.
An aspect of vocation is citizenship. During our exploration, we will take some time to work with our hearts and hands to serve members of our community living on or just off of the streets by filling shoeboxes with some basic necessities that we tend to take for granted.
We need your help!
As part of Aging Gracefully in Community Event, we will be assembling hygiene kits for ECHO, for their Shoebox Project. Please bring donations by January 27 and drop off at the Donation Center.
toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs/brushes, bar soap,
chapstick, shampoo/conditioner, washcloths, lotion,
deodorant, razors, shaving cream and shoeboxes
This project will help those living on or just off the street by supplying some of the basic necessities that most of us take for granted each day.
