Serve and Help Others

Serve within the Church

Buildings and Grounds

There are 40 indoor spaces – each dedicated to people of all ages growing in faith. There are many opportunities to assist in caring for the physical resources that God has given us. Some of these include lawn mowing and
caring for the grounds. If you are interested in serving this ministry contact Valerie Schmoldt.

Caring Ministries

Caring Ministries maintains a Care List of senior church members who are home-bound, hospitalized, and/or in need of medical treatment. We also send birthday greetings to those members 80 years of age and older and regularly telephone or visit members on the Care List. We also make daily hospital visits and organize Heritage Sunday to recognized 50-year+ members of Cargill.

Cargill offers transportation to and from Cedar Crest on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Learn more about our Transportation Ministry

If you are interested in serving this ministry contact Pastor Amy Powell.

Children’s Ministries

We are always looking for teachers and shepherds to guide and nurture our children. If you enjoy working with children or have a background in teaching and would like to serve this ministry contact Pastor Steve Scott.

GIFTS Men’s Shelter

Jesus led by example. He showed us how to love and accept everyone by serving them. He asks us to do the same. This is why we support the “God Is Faithful Temporary Shelter” (GIFTS), a men’s shelter in Janesville. Serving opportunities include intake workers, overnight hosts, providing meals (breakfast or supper) and laundry.

Cargill is the host of GIFTS Men’s Shelter four times a year. Check the Events Calendar for details on our next opportunity to serve. For more information call Janice Delo – 608-359-8959

You can also serve GIFTS as an individual or family. Check out our open spots and choose a time that works for you (please note that our overnight volunteers must complete an online application) We welcome pre-made meals that can be frozen (for 20 servings), meat that can be frozen, and non-perishable food items to help!
