Senior Ministries
Senior citizens are a vital part of church life at Cargill UMC. Ministry to seniors provides both spiritual support and social activities. Pastor of Senior Ministries, Stu Allen makes visits to the home bound and the elderly in senior care centers. These visits are scheduled on a regular basis by Pastor Stu and members of the Care committee. Senior Luncheon meals are served on the first and third Thursdays of the month at noon and are open to all seniors (50 & over) in the community. The Noteworthy Singers, a senior choir group, sing at these meals and are always looking for new members. The Prime Timers
Become a member of Cargill’s Prime Time Seniors’ group. Designed for those of us over the age of 55, the group enjoys day trips, going out to eat, and many other social activities. Social activities bring seniors together for both fun and faith building. Recent trips have included a bird farm, Fireside fish fry, an antique shopping outing, and attendance at an off-Broadway musical.

Information about Senior Ministries will posted on our new Bulletin Board in Fellowship Hall. Community events for Seniors can also be found there PRIME TIME SENIORS LUNCH OUT The Prime Time Seniors “Lunch Out” goes to a variety of restaurants requested by others. On May 22 we are headed to The Sand Burr Family Restaurant near Brodhead. We will car pool at the church leaving at 11:15 a.m. The Sand Burr serves a wide variety of American dishes. Sign up by noon on May 20th Information and sign up is on the Seniors BB in Fellowship Hall.
