Senior Ministries

AT CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH- The Prime - Timers

Senior citizens are a vital part of church life at Cargill UMC.   Ministry to seniors provides both spiritual support and social activities by Pastor Stu and volunteers. Visitation to the homebound and the elderly in senior care centers is scheduled on a regular basis by Pastor Stu and members of the Care committee. Please let Pastor Stu know if you would like to be visited.

Senior luncheon meals are served on the first and third Thursdays of the month at noon and are open to all seniors (50 & over) in the community. The Noteworthy Singers, a senior choir group, sing at these meals and are always looking for new members.

Social activities through outings and within the church bring seniors together for both fun and faith building.  Recent trips include a bird farm, Fireside fish fry, and attendance at an off-Broadway musical.

For more information on any of these activities, contact Pastor Stu at stu@cargillumc.org or phone the church office at 608-752-0548.
